• The Performance Art Platform is the permanent home of Ensemble 209 – a group of interdisciplinary artists from diverse social and cultural sectors – who have exhibited at “Blur”, International Performance Biennale (2001), The Israel Festival (2001). The Ensemble’s new production: The second Law of Thermodynamics has premiered on May 2005. The ensemble is recognized and supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture as one of seven active theatre groups in Israel today.

Time Table – a Performances Program, takes place every Thursday & Saturday night mid month, open to the public. In both evenings, there is a program of short performances acting by young and/or established artists, showing new works as well as known works.

At The Performance Art Platform there attend to be a library and living archive specialized in performance art, the only ones of their kind in Israel. The aim of the library is to bring together all the research literature, journals, and videos in the field of interdisciplinary art in general and of performance art in particular. The aim of the archive is to collect all the documentation of the works of Israeli performance artists, from the early days until now. The library and living archive will be open to the public as well as artists, curators, students, and scholars.

At The Performance Art Platform there are Creativity Workshops for artists who wish to turn performance into a central medium in their work. More and more graduates of these workshops have become active performance artists.

The Performance Art Platform is home for artists and an audience interested in quality art that is uncompromising and noncommercial, and thus provides an alternative to art available in Israel today.
